Chrome Java plugin - needs your permission to run

The Chrome browser blocks Java plug-in versions that are out of date or have been identified with security risks. A message notifies you that the plug-in is blocked.

We recommend updating the plug-in before allowing the plug-in to run.

The Java plug-in needs your permission to run

  • If you choose to Run this time, the plug-in will run but you will be asked for permission the next time you visit the site
  • If you choose Always run on this site, the plug-in will run and not ask for permission when you visit the site again.
Plug-ins help browsers process special types of web content, such as Flash or Windows Media files.

If you allow sites to use plug-ins and Google Chrome detects that you are missing a plug-in to a particular page, it will prompt you to install the plug-in at the top of the web page.

Click the Install plug-in in the message. Some plug-ins start the installation process by downloading the set-up file to your computer. For those plug-in, make sure you confirm the download by clicking Save in which appears at the bottom of your browser window slats downloads. Once the download is complete, restart Google Chrome by closing all open windows to complete the installation process.

Plug-in does not work?
If you see the message "The following plug-in has crashed ..." at the top of your page or icon
, it means that the plug-in used by the current page has become unresponsive or has closed unexpectedly. You could wait to see if the plug-in restart automatically or manually force the process to close. To solve the problem, try reloading the web page.
